Dyce seek fast rebound after Kinloss mauling
Gameweek 2 sees Aberdeenshire 2nd XV visit Central Park as Dyce host their first competitive league fixture of the 2017-18 season.
Following last weekend's loss against Kinloss Eagles, the home team are seeking a more rounded performance and to score their first points in the competition. Dyce welcome back influential co-captain David Hay at 10 to organise the back line, but have lost talismanic open-side Phil Horsfall to injury following a broken nose suffered during the team's last outing. Some other personnel changes also see a shift in complexion of the Dyce squad.
Shire 2s approach the game on a high after recording a significant 56-8 win against Fraserburgh in gameweek 1 at the Woodside Pitches.
The encounter is likely to be extra spicy too; Dyce welcome back players from previous seasons now turning out in the black and red of Shire, something the guys wearing navy will want to make a point of.
Frank Selbie will be the man in the middle keeping both teams in check.
One thing's for sure, as the whistle sounds on Saturday at 3pm both teams will be looking to get one over on the opposition.
The Dyce RFC teamsheet will be released shortly.
Supporters are welcome to attend. The gazebo will be up pitchside for those present to stay dry should the rain start although the forecast is for glorious sunshine.
Hope to see you there!
