Match report by Gregg Jack
Following a good game last weekend against Fraserburgh, Dyce looked to build on that win with 2 solid training sessions.
After a frantic warm up with no balls, Dyce came out the blocks well with great support play from several line brakes and well played rugby in there backs with forwards laying the platform to do so. After a penalty to Dyce, Duncan Scott (sponsored by Emerald Maintanence) nailed the conversation for the first 3 points. Deeside came back and took it to fyce from their on. After several missed tackles and dog legs Deeside got them on the score board. Then they couldn’t stop going over Dyce's line with the away side struggling to contain Deeside's pacey backs. Then to make things worse for Dyce new fan's favourite Jonny Clipston (sponsorsed by Max Clark Joinery) had to go off with a serious arm injury.
HT Score Deeside RFC 31:6 Dyce RFC
Dyce scored a try just after half time with well worked driving line out, Craig Phillip (Sponsored by Graeme Smith), pilling over from 10m out. Second half began with the same high speed rugby from Deeside leading to more tries for them. Dyce got a second with a clever line out move on 65 mins which saw Craig Phillip bag his second of the day before a lengthy injury break. Deeside rounded off their victory with a further two tries before the final whistle.
